Episode 02: inside Jesse’s Journey of finding a Startup for Sustainable Agriculture

Jesse graduated from Queen’s University in 2025 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She is the co-founder of Vuna Tech, a digital marketplace and management tool designed to support smallholder farmers in Africa. Her motivation to create Vuna Tech stems from a deep passion for the Earth and a commitment to sustainability. After realizing the significant impact agriculture has on the climate, Jesse became deeply intrigued by the potential for change, and decided to take action.
In this episode, Jesse shares what inspired her to start Vuna Tech, how she successfully incorporated the company in Kenya, and how she identified and secured the resources to bring her vision to life.
